These Terms & Conditions are for use on the website
and also part of the contract between you and Winn’s Plumbing And Heating.
Firstly if you are reading this now it’s most likely that you have signed up to one of our cover plans, and if so then we would like to thank you!
We understand that the terms and conditions can be exhausting to read, and we’ve tried to make reading them more pleasant. If you have any suggestions on how we can improve them, you are more than welcome to contact us at office@winnsph.com
Our aim with the cover plans that we provide is to a high-quality service that covers you when you need help the most, all at a much more affordable price. Whilst doing all of this we are trying to recreate a trust between the public and tradesmen as there has been an ever-growing force of rogue traders and it creates a divide between the public and trade service. This casts a shadow over the whole industry and now customers always feel like they are going to be ripped off or that there is loads of “catches”, we would like to try and change this. However, when there is a demand for service there has always got to be rules and regulations to keep things in order, otherwise these services would just fail eventually. Please read the terms of use we have created, and we hope you genuinely feel happy with everything we provide under these covers. If you have any queries on anything to do with any of the cover plans, please contact us via info@winnsplumbing.co.uk or at 01923 624 620.
We charge a £50 excess fee per callout on our ‘50’ plans, unless stated otherwise. We do however offer the 0 excess fee plans if you prefer not to have any fees per callout. Please note that the excess fee will be taken before our engineers start any work at all. We can take payment for the excess with either cash card or bank transfer.
Upon signing up to one of our plans we will conduct a thorough inspection of your system according to which plan you have selected, and we will fill out a detailed checklist with all components with pictures/videos and the condition of them too. At the end of the inspection, we will ask you to read our finished report, and also for your signature as confirmation.
When you sign up to any of our cover plans you have the right to cancel within 14 days under our 14-day money back cancelation period. We will issue a full refund of what you paid. WPH has full rights to cancel a cover plan if the client has violated any our terms.

Your Contract is for a Minimum of 12 Months from the date of the first payment.
Unless you tell us otherwise this contract will automatically renew each year, Subject to us accepting you onto the service plan. This contract will remain valid providing payment is continued by you subject to clause 4.

Acceptance onto one of our service plans does not imply that the boiler, heating system or plumbing system is installed to the relevant standards, and we will not accept liabilities arising from the original design or installation and so make no warranty as to the fitness for purpose.
We will not be liable for any delays in the supply of parts from our suppliers. We may fit replacement parts that are adequate but not the same as the defective part(s).
New Parts will only be fitted where old ones are beyond reasonable repair. We will be the sole arbitrators as to the condition of parts, where a radiator requires changing, we will only change for a standard white radiator. Designer radiators and towel rails will be attempted to be repaired but not covered for replacement. Boiler heat exchangers that have been damaged by debris, sludge or scale will not be covered for either parts or labour.
As boilers get older for many reasons, they become noisy, where noise is down to the age of the appliance, we will not class this as a fault and is not covered under any plan.
Boiler replacement – If your boiler is under 7 years of age and deemed unrepairable, we will replace the boiler like for like, we will need to see proof of the original date of installation. For boilers over 7 years a loyalty discount will be applied to the cost of fitting a new boiler.
We are not liable for any repairs to which we cannot gain reasonable access, removal of any obstructions will be at our sole discretion and will reserve the right to charge you at our standard rates. We may insist that you arrange for the obstruction prior to us carrying out the repair, we will not be held liable for any making good unless it’s down to our negligence.
If a service plan is cancelled part way through the year we reserve the right to charge for any services and/or repairs we have carried out at our standard rates.
Annual boiler service or landlord certificate- If this included in your plan, we would try 2 times to arrange a visit for this to take place, but you remain responsible for it happening within the contract.
If we recommend that your heating system requires a flush, we will provide you with a quotation and once the system is cleaned, we will continue with any service plan in place.

In the case where a tap needs repairing and it cannot be repaired, a new tap will be required. We provide a standard kitchen mixer tap which has a 5-year warranty and covered under your plan. We understand that you may not wish to have a tap of our choice and that you might want a higher end tap to suit your kitchen and if this situation happens, we are willing to provide a contribution of £40 towards the new tap.
